The worst, laziest and least effective "fundraising effort" is to partner with a retailer in a business, that is completely non related to you and have them ask THEIR customers to make a monetary donation to you. Zero Effort on your part will yield ZERO Results. I was recently making an in-store purchase at an office supply store when the cashier asked: "would you like to donate $5 to (organization name)". I politely asked a few basic questions about the organization and what were they collecting donations for. She had no answers, to which my response was to graciously decline. In other words, ineffective. Not to mention the fact that foot traffic in most retail stores has decreased significantly due to the Covid-19 retail restrictions and many customers opting for online ordering and curbside pick ups.
