Not all fundraising efforts are created equal. The worst, laziest and least effective "fundraising effort" is to partner with a retailer in a business, that is completely non related to you and have them ask THEIR customers to make a monetary donation to you. Zero Effort on your part will yield ZERO Results. Recently, I was making an in-store purchase at an office supply store when the cashier asked: "would you like to donate $5 to (organization name)". I politely asked a few basic questions about the organization and what were they collecting donations for. She had no answers, to which my response was to graciously decline. In other words, ineffective.
